Elena Lamp

This lamp is inspired by Elena, a rising badminton athlete. Elena is a U13 Brisbane Australian badminton gold medalist in both singles and doubles. Her dedication, discipline, and consistent improvement set her apart as a remarkable talent — one with the potential to become an Olympic athlete.

Sustainability is at the core of this product. The lamp body is primarily made of Polylactic Acid (PLA), a renewable, plant-based polymer derived from cornstarch or sugarcane. PLA is considered a human-intervention biodegradable material — meaning it will not decompose naturally in the environment but requires proper industrial composting or recycling processes to break down safely. The structure also incorporates 10.9 grade carbon steel and 6063 T5 anodized aluminum, chosen for durability and strength.

To power the lamp safely and reliably, we developed a custom brightness regulation circuit board tailored specifically for this design. We carefully sourced 3C and UL-certified components, including the power adapter, E27 connector, and lightbulb, ensuring compliance with both United States and Chinese safety standards.

We are committed to reducing carbon footprints. Packaging used in this product is made entirely from plant-based materials, consisting of paper box, tape, and cushions. Even though sourcing renewable materials may require more energy to produce, we believe this product serves as an educational example of what is possible. By promoting renewable design, the Elena Lamp demonstrates to both customers and competitors the achievability and importance of sustainable innovation.
